The 4.6 km map rises from 10 to 320 m. Dense forest covers the north and west, crossed by 20 narrow roads and tracks and dotted with small ponds. Settlements are small: a hut cluster in the centre, compounds in the northwest, a southwest village and a base on the northeast edge. Roughly the southeast half is hilly but untextured, showing only plain green ground with no trees, roads or buildings. The author describes a modern-day Vietnam setting. The forested half suits small-unit jungle patrols and ambushes.
