The 10 km terrain is mostly pale desert, with green fields in the northwest quarter and rocky ravines across the southeast. An airstrip lies east of centre, and a winding riverbed runs through the southwest past pyramids and a small town. The overlays list 73 localities, 35 military sites and 544 road segments totalling about 417 km. The eastern desert is sparse, with scattered shrubs and few structures. Open ground suits vehicle and air operations. The author describes four areas and hidden caves and pyramid tunnels.
