Danube River

A wide river bends through the map from the top centre to the south-west corner, enclosing large wooded islands. The ground is flat, between 10 and 20 m elevation. Both banks are open fields split by tree lines, and much of this farmland has nothing placed on it. Settlements are small: a village west of centre, 854 buildings and 39 km of roads in total. It suits river-crossing attacks and open-field fights. The author says it is based on the border river between Croatia and Serbia.
