Most of the 7.4 km square is dense forest on hills rising to 850 m, with rocky slopes east of the valley. A river winds across the north and then south through a central valley. The one sizeable town sits in the valley, with an airstrip and fields to its south and a fenced compound in the southwest. Winding dirt roads, with switchbacks on the eastern slopes, reach outlying sites. The author bases it on Glenwood Springs, Colorado. It suits fights over the town and long forest approaches.
