The author presents it as a small infantry battlefield around Orehov, Zaporojskaya oblast, Ukraine. Ground is nearly flat (0 to 10 m) across a 3.8 km square. River channels loop around a long, densely wooded island in the centre. Open grass and patchwork fields fill the rest, with field plots mostly in the east. About 33 km of roads and tracks cross it, including a roundabout in the northwest. No town is visible; only 40 buildings are recorded and no places are named. Cover outside the central woods is scarce.
