A gridded town sits in the south-centre, with smaller building clusters north-centre and east and walled compounds in the northwest and north. About 54 km of roads form loops around the centre. Water is limited to a few small ponds. Wide stretches of open sand hold nothing, suiting game masters who want to place their own objectives.
