Rottnest Isle

The island runs west to east in an 8 km world, with low wooded hills under 60 m and open grassland. A sheltered lagoon cuts into the northeast coast, with a paved compound on its southeastern shore. Harbour piers line the south coast of the narrow western neck. Around 405 buildings sit in small compounds rather than towns, linked by 57 km of roads. Sea covers most of the map, suiting infantry raids with boat or air insertion. The author describes a Soviet-themed isle in autumn.
