Towns and compounds cluster in the west, southwest and northeast, linked by about 73 km of roads. The southeast holds wide open sand with few buildings. Open ground suits vehicle and long-range fights; towns offer close-quarters options. The author describes a Texas–Mexico-inspired frontier with border walls, bunkers and an amusement park.
